Priorities, an interesting word which means the fact or condition of being regarded or treated as more important.
We see this word many places, but it seems to bubble up more during the holidays and to move into a new year.
Toxicity, harassment and bullying have no place in our world, by anyone, anywhere at any time. Our world continues to change, evolve and grow. How we behave matters, “just because that’s the way it has always been” doesn’t work anymore. How we all show up every day, how companies show up is important and something that we as consumers consider when we buy and something I deeply contemplate as a marketer and a human.
#MSIgnite 2018 will be the third Microsoft Ignite I’ve attended (my first TechEds were Barcelonaand Dallas, TX in 2003). Microsoft Ignite is Microsoft’s largest ITPro/Dev event of the year featuring hundreds of technical sessions and hands-on workshops, a massive expo floor, tons of parties and, something I am very proud to be a part of, a whole track devoted to learning about and fostering Diversity and Inclusion.
As an Event Maven who used to produce these events for Microsoft, I know a few ins and outs to get the most knowledge, networking, and fun out of it.
Here are some tips & tricks to help you create a productive and memorable Microsoft Ignite experience.
As a lover of comic books, graphic novels, artists, superheroes movies and TV series I’m giddy about being involved with this project. Who hasn’t spun around like Wonder Woman as a young girl or maybe, um, yesterday? To see her and so many other brilliant superheroes in print, in cool TV series and on the big screen bringing justice to the world makes my heart sing.
Thrilled to announce that I’m moderating my first education/how to panel at this year’s San Diego Comic Con with an amazing group of panelists.
What a week. May has traditionally been a big month for SharePoint, and the SharePoint Conference NA was chock full of announcements.
Another epic night seeing comedy in Los Angeles. To be glazed, overlaid with a smooth, shiny surface. Yes, that is exactly what Mike Glazer brings to the stage during his monthly comedy cornucopia called Glazed at The Hollywood Improv (The Lab) straight up smooth and shiny goodness. Glazed is like a perfect donut. Sweet, sugary, where you feel a little dirty, a little shy that you maybe ate two or three of those sinful bad boys. (Your secret is safe with me, go ahead have one more. Cause they are DELICIOUS). Third Thursday of the month for the next helping of yum.
From a city where I turned 21, a long time ago, I wanted to say thank you to the loving Joyner family for having me tag along to their family reunion at The Jockey Club way back when to celebrate with Shannan, Beth, Tina, and Meganne, my wonderful high school girlfriends. I turned 21 on the dot in the Aladdin which is now where Planet Hollywood stands — that was such a great trip. Respects to Dick and Dottie Joyner who are no longer with us and were such kind, dear, fun people who made me part of their family during my high school years in Wheaton, IL.
