Cranberries and Thankfulness

Cranberries and Thankfulness

Waking up in my parent’s house in the very pink guest bedroom during a holiday always makes me happy and thankful. I wasn’t supposed to be here this year, and I am so glad that I am.

Sometimes the universe puts you where you are supposed to be (and work dictates your comings and goings, and work takes me to places that were the dreams of travel when I was a girl), thank you SharePoint.

World Suicide Prevention Day, a Personal Story

World Suicide Prevention Day, a Personal Story

A few thoughts on getting through, what happens after a suicide, when you are the one(s) that are left. What do you do, how do you cope and make sense of things? This is a personal story of my family.

At any age, paint it pink.

At any age, paint it pink.

Frank Lloyd Wright was 91 when he finished his work on the Guggenheim Museum.

Age is relative. Age is how you feel. Age doesn’t matter in most cases.

And as I spend more time with my parents in their 70’s, I marvel at them.

Happy Birthday Dad — Start with yourself

Happy Birthday Dad — Start with yourself

Today is my Father’s Birthday, and I love you so Dad.

Many years ago my Dad gave me this poem, this epitaph

written above a tomb of Anglican Bishop

in the crypts of Westminster Abbey in London, England.

He and I talk a lot about responsibility.

About duty

About service

About making a difference.
